Dear patient, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic NJ Gastro is now offering patients the option to have a Telemedicine visit with your provider from the convenience and safety of your home. This will limit exposure to the COVID-19 and adhere to social distancing requirements.

Requirements
Virtual Video Visit

Patients must have a phone, tablet, or computer/laptop with a camera.

Patients need to be able to use simple technology such as video chat (e.g. FaceTime, Google Duo).

Available for all NJ Gastro patients, new or established
Virtual Telephone

When video visits cannot be connected due to technology limitations

Available for only established NJ Gastro patients
Insurance and payment information
Which Insurance plans cover Telemedicine?

Currently, most NJ Gastro In-Network plans have expanded Telemedicine coverage to include all visits.
Do I need to pay a Copay for Telemedicine Services?

Copays will be collected prior to the Telemedicine visit.

Some plans may still apply a Deductible and/or Coinsurance after the claim has been processed.

Patient cost sharing will be the same as a face-to-face provider visit in the office.
